Welcome to the Plasma Audio Blog

Welcome to the Plasma Audio Blog, a place to consolidate and share information relating to Plasma Speakers, Plasma Microphones, Plasma Triodes, and all Corona, Glow Discharge and related transducers. Synthesizers, ADC and DAC's, and switch mode amplifiers and any other audio uses of plasma's are also of interest.

Plasma Physics has played in important role in modern science, and Plasma's are quite common around us, found in florescent light bulbs, the sun, and flames.

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, acting like a gas with particles moving the speed of light, yet bound together like a liquid, and responsive to electromagnetic and electrostatic fields. It creates an effectively mass less and frictionless transducer.

Hopefully this will become a place to read about something you might not have heard of, or maybe have always been interested in. Ideally this site will work towards advancing plasma science for audio uses. Consolidation of literature and designs related to plasma audio is another goal of this blog.
